Chargers are beginning to muster up both their school and national spirit for the first home game of the season on Friday, Sept. 12 against Madison. The game is featuring an American pride theme. Cheerleaders will be cheering, The Mighty Marching Chargers will be marching. And of course the Purple Platoon will be doing what they do best: screaming their heads off for the cause of sweet victory.

The Mighty Marching Chargers will have their first home performance on Friday. They have been working hard over the summer, and the work is paying off.

“I’m confident about our performance for Friday night,” sophomore and clarinet player David Rosend said. “We’re really good this year.”

Freshmen are getting excited for their first home game.

“I’m pumped for Friday because it’s my first high school football game as a freshman,” freshman Nick Robbins said.

Not everyone is going just for the football.

“I would go to support the chamber choir,” sophomore Sarah Gallagher said. “They’re singing the National Anthem at the start of the game.”

The game will start at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $5.
