The buzzer goes off signaling the end of warmups and the beginning of the gymnastic team’s one and only home meet. The judges call the gymnasts to their designated location. CHS starts off with their first rotation on the bars. Every rotation lasts about 30 minutes and each team goes on at the same time. CHS varsity gymnastics finished fourth overall against Herndon High School, McLean High School, Langley High School and Yorktown High School on Jan.3.

For their second rotation, CHS takes on the balance beam. Before they start, the judges call them up to explain and go over details on what’s expected. The judge’s give the gymnasts an oversight of what they are going to be scored on and what could possibly lead to point reductions.
