Dear Veterans,

Thank you. Thank you for your service. Thank you for risking your life. Thank you for protecting us. Thank you for being a model citizen to so many. Thank you for your bravery. Thank you for your self-sacrifice. Thank your for inspiring stories of bravery and heroism. Thank you for inspiring people like me to reach for more and to serve our country the same way you have. Thank you for being so open to other people’s cultures and views. Thank you for being so open with people expressing their rights even if you don’t share their point of view. Thank you for all this and so much more. Growing up a military brat, I have firsthand experience of how you may have conducted yourself. I have seen the sacrifice that you had made every day for your nation. I have seen the danger you put yourself in to keep people like me free and safe. You have served your nation and have come out the other side with experiences many will only dream of. You have protected people who will never know the sacrifice you have made. You have done all this for people you will never meet and you don’t even expect a word of thanks in response. I speak for all Americans when I say thank you. We thank you for everything you can and can’t speak of. While not everyone may agree with what you are tasked to do, thank you for your service. Thank you for part of your life that you gave to the country. Thank you.
